Come out & join Team Rocket Factory at the 2008 Original Sand Fest July 8-13, located adjacent to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area (ODNRA) in Coos County, OR.

Beer Garden - (Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00am till 7:00pm)
Promoto Promotions Side X Side Sand-Cross - Determines the best UTV driver, trophies awarded.
Side X Side Drive In Movie -A movie will be played on the big screen and
all side x side riders can enjoy a nice night under the stars in the comfort of their favorite UTV (always nice to bring a partner, too). We will have refreshments and popcorn available. Free.
Northwest Sand (Car) Challenge - Side by side stadium style
race where you 'race what ya brought', classes
for 4, 6, and 8 cylinders and an unlimited class for all boosted or
high HP engines. Figure 8 course. Cash and prizes to the top 3 in each
class.
Women's Barrel Race - (Tuesday 3:00pm to 4:00pm) -Timed event around
barrels. Any rider that safely attaches a cowboy hat to her helmet will
be rewarded by removing one full second
from their times. The winner is the “lady” with the fastest time. Entry
fee is $2.00. Trophied event.
Men's Barrel Race - (Wednesday 3:00pm to 4:00pm) - Timed event around barrels. Any rider that safely attaches a cowboy
hat to his helmet will be rewarded by removing one full second
from their times. The winner is the “dude” with the fastest time. Entry
fee is $2.00. Trophied event.
Scavenger Hunt - (Wednesday 12:30pm to 2:00pm) This is an event where
riders will try to find waypoints that have clues to the next waypoint.
This will require knowledge of the area and a knack for understanding
riddles. Entry fee is $2.00.
Naumes/Vission X Sandfest Night Ride - (Wednesday @ Dusk) - See the dunes
in the eerie shadows of a full moon and your own headlights. Lights
suitable for night-riding are required. There will be a $1.00 donation
which will go towards the Coos CountyHelmet Fund.
Every Little Detail Art Demo/Exhibitions - (Daily from 10:00am to
4:00pm) -Frank Robles from Every Little Detail and artist Jeremiah
Thiring from Thiring Design team up to knock out the most incredible graphics and airbrushing wizardry on the west coast.
Best in the West Show & Shine - (Thursday) - Do you have the best
looking ATV or UTV out there? This is a trophied eventand brings HUGE
bragging rights.
UTV and Side X Side Muscle Pull - (Tuesday 1:00pm to 2:00pm) - This is a
measured distance and
timed competition. On each run, the rider will pull a loaded SUV down a
track to the finish line or until the referee orders a “shutdown". The
field of riders with the best times and/or distance will be reduced by
half each run until there is one ultimate winner. Entry fee is $2.00.
Trophied event.
Temporary Insanity Full-Scale Poker Run - The Base Camp will be located at the TI tent at the main stage area. The route of the run will be posted on a map at base camp, and information on how to get to the next location will be given as you get your card punched. Expect excellent prizes and a ton of fun. Fees to be determined. Sign-ups are mandatory.
Temporary Insandity/TrailTech/Cyclops Motorsports Moonlight Excursion - (Thursday @ Dusk) - Fun for the wholefamily!
Participants will all meet at the Cyclops Motorsports booth approx.
8:30 p.m. Lights are required. There will be a $1.00 donation. All
proceeds go to ATV safety training.
ATV Charity Auction - An auctioneer will kick off the fun at the Main Stage. There will be great opportunities to purchase some excellent items. All proceeds will be donated to a local charity as our way of saying “thanks” for supporting the sport we all love. Cash, certified checks, Visa and Master Card will be accepted.
Kid's Treasure Hunt - (Tuesday 10:00am) -Kids 12 and under (under 7 will
be determined case-by-case by officials and parents -Safety First!)
will have an opportunity to hunt
for "treasure" comprised of hundreds of dollars in coins. Amongst the
coins will be several unique “chits” that will get the lucky treasure
hunter a pocket ATV or other nice toys. Sign-ups are mandatory -No
entry fee.
Adult -Kid Relay Race - (Wednesday 10:00am) - Kids 7-12 and their adult
race partner must race on their mini-quad. The quad must be 90 cc or
less. Each child will race one oval
lap around a flag and then swap with the adult for one lap.... and so
on and so on... The first duo to make 6 laps total is the winner.
Sign-ups are mandatory - $2 entry fee. Trophied event.
Kid's Moto Track - (Tuesday through Thursday-Hours vary upon entry) -
There will be a fenced off an area and a play track for kids 7-12
riding appropriately sized 49-90cc ATV's. This will require safety
gear, monitoring by parents and will comprise of volunteers running
several "motos" just for the fun of it.
